Portfolio of ten Fritz Eichenberg pencil-signed and plate-signed wood engravings from  the Limited Editions Club edition of Dostoevsky's"The House of the Dead."

This set is partially incorrect as not all are numbered, and one sheet is not signed. The sheets measure 12x7.875 inches, and the marbled portfolio measures 12.375x8.25 inches.

The wood engravings are in Very Good+ condition with some edge wear. They were laid into a black cloth-backed folder (ca. 1982). The material is woven Japanese paper based.

Provenance: Formerly estate of the artist Fritz Eichenberg, recently private collection. Unframed, loose, and not mounted or glued down.
