Two thousand copies of this edition of "The House of the Dead" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, were printed for the members of The Limited Editions Club in 1982. This book is number 1577 out of 2000. The text was designed and set in Monotype Dante, with headings handset in Wilhelm Klingsporschrift, by Michael & Winifred Bixler of Boston. The title and author, set in Wilhelm Klingsporschrift, have been stamped in deep copper on the front panel, with the title stamped on the spine. The book is covered with 100% cotton - a plum-gray Toile Athena imported from France by Clarence House Imports Ltd. The endpapers are Fabriano Ingres Grigio. The book was also signed by Fritz Eichenberg (Wood Engravings Illustrator) and Michael Bixler (Typographer), sign the book in pencil.
