This book is a companion volume to Nelson's The Union Pacific Railroad and The Yosemite Vally, and The Mammoth Trees and Geysers of California.

This book is in good condition and bound in its original dark blue cloth with decorative stamping in black, gold, and blind. It has yellow-coated endpapers and a pictorial map on the inlay. The cloth is worn at the edges, the contents are shaken, pages four (map) and five are loose, their scattered foxing, but the plates are clean.
